- Real Madrid defeated Napoli [2-3] in an exciting UEFA Champions League clash at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Tuesday evening.
- Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen featured from start to finish for the Serie A champions.
- Most of the game's brilliant moments were, however, produced by Madrid's golden boy, Jude Bellingham.
Napoli won their first game - a [1-2] triumph at Sporting Braga - in the Champions League a fortnight ago, and the Italians were looking to make it two on the bounce as Real Madrid arrived in Naples.
Leo Ostigard gave the home side a dream start when he opened the scoring in the 19th minute.
But Madrid's response was quick and effective as Bellingham laid the ball off for Vinicius Junior to equalise barely ten minutes later.
Bellingham, 20, then took matters into his own hands in the 34th minute as he weaved his way past Napoli's defence before firing past Alex Meret in goal for Madrid's second of the evening.
In front of their own fans, Napoli refused to roll over, and Osimhen played his part in the Neapolitans' equaliser ten minutes into the second half.
The Nigerian attacker struck a shot at goal, which Nacho Fernandez blocked with his hand, forcing the referee - prodded by VAR - to award Napoli a penalty.
Piotr Zielinski stepped up to put the spot kick just beyond goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Nevertheless, Real Madrid had the last laugh of the night as Federico Valverde's fierce shot in the 78th minute, crashed off the crossbar and goalkeeper Meret before trickling into the net for the visitors' winning goal.
With the win, Real Madrid go clear at the top of Group C with six points, leaving Napoli and Braga tied in second place with three points each.
Debutants Union Berlin are stuck at the base of the standing after they lost [2-3] at home to Braga also on Tuesday.
