- The most successful female national team on the continent will battle three other nations for the first title of the year
The Super Falcons have landed in the Leon State of Guanajuato, Mexico, where they will kick off preparations ahead of the invitational four-nation Revelations Cup.
Aside from the nine-time African champions and hosts, Mexico, the other participating teams in the tournament are South American giants, Colombia and Central American side, Costa Rica.
Nigeria's first match of the Revelations Cup is against home team, Mexico, at the 33,900-capacity Estadio León in León de los Aldamas, on Wednesday, February 15. The game kicks off at 11pm Nigerian time.
On February 18, the Super Falcons will engage Colombia at the same venue before trading tackles with Costa Rica four days later in the last match of the Revelations Cup.
The Super Falcons head into the tournament on the back of a five-match losing streak that stretched back to the semifinals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last year.
Nigeria's last victory was a [1-0] triumph over Cameroon in the quarterfinals of the WAFCON.
The Revelations Cup is part of Nigeria's preparation for the 2023 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand and Australia in July.
At the Mundial, the Super Falcons have been placed in a tricky group that includes hosts Australia, Olympic champions, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland.
