The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles, has named a strong 23-man squad for next month's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The team's coach, Bruno Labbadia, has named a strong squad that includes the likes of William Ekong, Olaoluwa Aina, Victor Osimhen, and Taiwo Awoniyi, who were all absent due to injury in the previous matches.
Ekong, the 2023 AFCON Man-of-the-Competition, is back in the fold after recovering from injury, while Aina, Awoniyi, and Osimhen have also shrugged off their respective injuries to make the squad.
The team's goalkeeping department has also been strengthened by the return of Amas Obasogie, who joins Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye as the three goalkeepers in the squad.
The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic on September 7 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before traveling to Kigali to take on Rwanda on September 10. The team is expected to report to camp in Uyo on September 2.
