Leicester City join race for €25million rated Taiwo Awoniyi

The Hammers and newly promoted side, Fulham have been previously linked with the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup winner.

According to Sports Witness who cited Sport Bild, the Foxes are interested in signing Taiwo Awoniyi when the summer transfer window opens.

Awoniyi is having his greatest season as a professional to date, scoring eighteen goals in all competitions, which is a career high.

Due to his experience in Liverpool, the 24-year-old would have little trouble adjusting to life in the East Midlands.

Prior to his senior debut in October 2021, he was an U17 and U20 teammate of Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Ilorin born forward has a financial value of €15million but will be available for €25million. 

Although Leicester City may miss out on continental football next season, it's reported that the Nigerian is willing to let go of Europa League football for the Premier League.
