HENRY ONYEKURU JOINS GALATASARAY ON LOAN FROM AS MONACO

Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru has re-joined Turkish Super Lig club, Galatasaray, on loan from AS Monaco for the rest of the 2019/2020 football season.
The club made the announcement earlier today via their official website with a (retracted) statement that read:
"Galatasaray has reached an agreement with AS Monaco Football Club for the temporary transfer of player, Nigerian footballer, Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru.
Born in Onitsha, Nigeria on June 5, 1997, Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru started his football career at the Aspire Academy in 2010. Graduating from the academy in 2015, Nigerian footballer started his professional football career in Belgium's KAS Eupen team.
Onyekuru played an important role in the promotion of the team to the 1st League in the first season of his career which he started in Belgium 2nd League and he attracted the attention of the big clubs of Europe with his performance in 2016-17 season. Onyekuru scored 23 goals in 38 matches that season, and shared the top with Lukasz Teodorczyk in the top scorer race.
As of 2017, the Nigerian national team wearing the uniform of the Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru began his career in the Super League championship in Turkey, Turkey Cup championship and Super Cup Belgium's victory.
We would like to welcome Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru, who will wear the jersey 70 in our team, to Galatasaray once again and wish him success in his yellow-red career."
Onyekuru who has struggled for a place in the AS Monaco squad, having made only 4 appearances so far this season will be hoping t revive his career, in a league where he already once stood tall.
He will wear the no. 70 jersey for Galatasaray this season.
