GK - DELE ALAMPASU - PIETA HOTSPURS

Dele Alampasu had a good outing over the weekend. The 25-year old made 6 saves in his side’s narrow league defeat.

LB - CALVIN BASSEY - AFC AJAX

Calvin Bassey was impressive in defence, making 3 ball recoveries and creating 1 goalscoring chance for his side, in their big league victory.

CB - WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG - WATFORD FC

Super Eagles vice captain, William Troost-Ekong scored his first goal of the season, while also making 5 ball recoveries, 3 clearances and 2 interceptions in Watford’s big home league win.

CM - INNOCENT BONKE - FC LORIENT

CM - ALEX IWOBI - EVERTON FC

Alex Iwobi continues to impress for Everton this season. The 26-year old provided two fine assists in a Man of the Match performance, as Everton picked up a much-needed win. His 5-Star performance earns him our Nigerian Star of the Week honours.

ST - TAIWO AWONIYI - NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi had a day to remember. The 25-year old scored the only goal of the game while also creating 3 goalscoring chances for him teammates, as Nottingham Forest defeated Liverpool in an entertaining PL encounter.

ST - PAUL ONUACHU - KRC GENK

Paul Onuachu made it 8 goals in his last 5 matches with a brace in KRC Genk’s away Belgian Pro League victory over Antwerp.

ST - VICTOR OSIMHEN - SSC NAPOLI

Nigeria’s Starboy, Victor Osimhen was the hero for Napoli over the weekend. The 23-year old striker scored with a brilliant strike to seal a hard-fought [0-1] Italian Serie A victory over AS Roma. His 3rd goal in consecutive matches.
