Nigerian Team of the Week (April 22-25, 2022)

Maduka Okoye earns his spot in goal, Reuben Yem and Igoh Ogbu both return in defence, Raphael Onyedika holds a midfield spot as Dennis plays in attack alongside Star of the Week, Isaac Success.

Goalkeeper: Maduka Okoye (Sparta Rotterdam, The Netherlands)

Maduka was impressive, making 5 saves for Sparta Rotterdam despite falling to a 2-0 league defeat at FC Twente.

Left Back: Musa Muhammed (HNK Gorica, Croatia)

A solid defensive outing by the 25-year old, making 5 tackles in HNK Gorica's narrow defeat against Dinamo Zagreb. 

Centre-Back: Igoh Ogbu (Lillestrom SK, Norway)

Igoh makes a second consecutive appearance in our team of the week. The former Nigeria U20 defender put in a solid shift, keeping a clean sheet in Lillestrom's league victory.

Centre-Back: Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirates FC, South Africa)

The 24-year old Super Eagles defender was solid in defence as Orlando Pirates battled to a penalty shootout victory and advanced to the CAF Confederations Cup semifinals.

Right Back: Reuben Yem (AS Trencin, Slovakia)

The 24-year old was on target while keeping a clean sheet in AS Trencin's 0-2 league victory.

Centre Midfield: Mikel Agu (CF Fuenlabrada, Spain)

Mikel Agu made an assist while winning 4 tackles in CF Fuenlabrada's narrow 2-3 Spanish Segunda Liga defeat against SD Ponferradina.

Centre Midfield: Raphael Onyedika (FC Midtjylland, Denmark)

The 21-year old continued his impressive season for FC Midtjylland, making an assist in their hard-earned 1-3 Danish Superligaen victory at BRondby IF.

Left Winger: Moses Simon (FC Nantes, France)

The Super Eagles' impressive little winger made an assist then scored the winner in FC Nantes entertaining' 5-3 French Ligue 1 victory over Bordeaux.

Right Winger: Tosin Kehinde (Randers FC, Denmark)

The young baller put in an impressive performance, creating two chances in Randers' narrow victory over FC Copenhagen.

Centre Forward: Emmanuel Dennis (Watford FC, England)

Continuing his impressive debut Premier League season, Dennis made the assist for Watford's goal in their 5-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Centre Forward: Isaac Success (Udinese, Italy)

The 26-year old was impressive for Udinese, making an assist before scoring a goal of his own in Udinese's 2-2 Italian Serie A draw against Bologna.
