Super Eagles, Bruno Onyemaechi assisted the winning goal for Boavista, while also making 4 ball recoveries and 2 interceptions in their [1-3] Portuguese Primera Liga victory over Pacos de Ferreira.

Obinna Nwobodo opened up his 2023 MLS season with a goal in FC Cincinnati’s hard-fought [2-1] victory over Houston Dynamo. He also made 11 ball recoveries and 3 interceptions in an all-round impressive display.
CM - ALEX IWOBI - EVERTON FC
Alex ‘Big 17” Iwobi makes another appearance in our TOTW despite a disappointing result for his club, Everton. The 26-year old created 2 goalscoring chances while also making 2 tackles and having a shot on target in their [0-2] English Premier League defeat against Aston Villa.
RM - SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE - VILLARREAL CF
Samuel Chukwueze scored for the second straight Spanish La Liga match, topping it off with an assist for the winning goal in Villarreal’s [2-1] victory over Getafe.
ST - VICTOR BONIFACE - ROYALE UNION SAINT-GILLOISE
22-year old forward, Victor Boniface continues to impress for RUSG in Belgium. He scored both goals for his side while also creating 3 goalscoring chances as they fell to a [4-1] Pro League defeat against KVC Westerlo.
ST - ODION IGHALO - AL HILAL SAUDI FC
‘Uncle Jude’, Odion Ighalo was on fire for Al Hilal, scoring FOUR goals as they smashed seven goals past Al-Duhail in the semifinals of the AFC Champions League. His outstanding performance earns him our Nigerian Star of the Week Honours.
ST - TEREM MOFFI - OGC NICE
Terem Moffi finally got off the mark for his new club, OGC Nice. The 23-year old scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist to lead his side to a [0-3] French Ligue 1 victory over his favourite opponent, AS Monaco.
