Nigeria trounce Ghana in WAFU Zone B U20 Championship

On Sunday, the Flying Eagles defeated their Ghanaian opponents in the WAFU Zone B cup game.

The Flying Eagles won thanks to goals from Aminu Muhammad and Ahmed Abdullahi.

Muhammad took advantage of a deep pass from the Nigerian defense before around the goalkeeper. He scored from a tight angle to give the Flying Eagles an early lead in the fifth minute.

Both teams gave it their all, with the Nigerians standing out in defense.

The Ladan Bosso-led team took the lead at halftime and proceeded where they left off in the second half, continuously knocking on the Black Meteors' door.

Nigeria scored in the 78th minute to take control of the game and take the lead in the group.

Burkina Faso will be their next opponent, with the group leaders anticipated to qualify for the African U-20 Championships.

Nigeria missed out on the last competition after failing to secure a spot in the WAFU tournament.
