Turkish Super Lig strugglers, HangiKredi Ümraniyespor have boosted their attack with the capture of Nigerian winger Jesse Sekidika.
HangiKredi Ümraniyespor, on Tuesday afternoon, announced the signing of Sekidika from fellow Turkish side, Eyüpspor on loan for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.
Sitting at the foot of the league table after managing a paltry 21 goals from 18 games, it was clear that Ümraniyespor would look to strengthen their attack in the winter.
And the Red and White will hope the arrival of Sekidika will help them successfully fight their way out of the relegation zone.
Raised at the Brooke House Football Academy in England, Sekidika was further schooled in Portugal at the youth teams of AD Oeiras and Benfica.
Sekidika began his professional career in 2015 at Napredak in the Serbian first division, spending three years with the club.
The Port Harcourt-born forward arrived in Turkey in 2018 and has since played for Eskisehirspor, Galatasaray, and Konyaspor, before joining Eyüpspor initially on loan and later permanently in April 2022.
Sekidika's spell at Eskisehirspor remains his most successful, though, as he registered 14 goals and three assists in 29 games in the Turkish second division.
The 26-year-old winger's record in the Turkish Super Lig is, however, not as productive as he has only managed two goals in 31 appearances.
