WAFCON 2022: Asisat Oshoala out for six weeks

Super Falcons and FC Barcelona star, Asisat Oshoala has been ruled out of action for six weeks due to a knee Ligament injury.

Oshoala got injured in Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to the Bayana Bayana of South Africa in the WAFCON Group C opener. 

According to the official Twitter handle of FC Barcelona Femini, the 27-year-old will miss six weeks of training due to a knee lateral ligament.

"Tests performed by the Club's Medical Services have confirmed that Asisat Oshoala has an injury to the internal lateral ligament of her right knee. The estimated time off is about six weeks."

 

 

The Barcelona Femeni star spent some months on the sidelines last term due to knee injuries.

Despite her injury plagued campaign, Oshoala won the Pichichi award with her scoring 20 goals in 19 league outings.
