In a friendly encounter, the Super Eagles will face El Tri of Mexico at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on May 28th.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup, but the team has strong friendlies lined up against countries who will be competing in the tournament.

Mexico, who finished second to Canada in the CONCACAF qualifiers, has been placed in the same group as Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Poland.

The Super Eagles are currently without a coach because Austin Eguavoen resigned after failing to guide the Super Eagles to thr 2022 World Cup.

The NFF, on the other hand, has compiled a lengthy list of international managers, with former Barcelona and PSG coaches among those being considered.

Despite their inability to qualify for Qatar 2022, many people consider the Super Eagles to be worthy opponents because they have good players who play in prominent European leagues.

Ecuador, a South American country, has also listed the Super Eagles for a pre-World Cup friendly match in June.

Ecuador was placed in the same group as Senegal, Qatar, and the Netherlands.
