Super Eagles climb two spots; achieve highest world ranking since 2013

The Super Eagles have climbed up two spots and achieved their highest world ranking since May 2013, despite being out of action for nine months. Nigeria is now the 29th best national team in the world according to the latest ranking by FIFA.

Nigeria has also climbed two spots in the continental rankings to become the 3rd highest ranked African nation behind Senegal (20th overall) and Tunisia (26th overall). AFCON 2019 Champs, Algeria are ranked fourth in Africa (35th overall).

The Super Eagles last played in a 4-2 AFCON 2021 (now 2022) qualifying victory over Lesotho in November 2019. See the Super Eagles Match Schedule HERE.
