Samuel Chukwueze nominated for La Liga African MVP award

Super Eagles and Villarreal CF forward, Samuel Chukwueze has been nominated for the inaugural African MVP award, which honors the best African player in the La Liga Santander.
In the race for the finest African player in the Spanish top flight, the Nigerian attacker is up against stiff competitors.
Ivory Coast fullback Serge Aurier, Senegalese forward Boulaye Dia, and Algerian defender Aissa Mandi are among Chukwueze's Villarreal teammates nominated.
Barcelona's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ez Abde, as well as Sevilla's Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine "Bono" Bounou and striker Youssef En-Nesyri, are amongst Chukwueze's opponents.
Other nominees include Atletico Madrid’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, Valencia’s Illaix Moriba, and Real Betis’ Youssouf Sabaly.
After earning the majority of the fans' votes in January, Bono edged Chukwueze to the mid-season edition of the award.
Chukwueze has impressed many La Liga fans with dribbles, flicks, and nutmegs due to his speed and superb left foot. In 25 league games for Villarreal this season he, has three goals and three assists.
