Scottish giants, Rangers, are poised to offload underperforming striker, Cyriel Dessers, as they embark on a squad overhaul ahead of the new campaign. The Nigerian forward, who joined the club last summer, failed to live up to expectations despite netting 22 goals across all competitions.

With the Ibrox outfit facing a tumultuous pre-season period due to ongoing stadium construction delays, manager Philippe Clement is keen to expedite his squad rebuilding process. The club has already secured the services of several new faces, including Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Barron, and Liam Kelly, but the search for a potent goalscorer remains a top priority.

Dessers' departure has opened the door for a potential move for Macedonian forward Bojan Miovski as per Daily Mail reports. The Aberdeen striker has been a consistent goal threat in the Scottish Premiership and is believed to be a target for several clubs, including Rangers. However, the Old Firm club is wary of being held to ransom by their rivals and is exploring other options.

Lawrence Shankland of Hearts is another potential target, but his contract situation could complicate matters. The Scotland international is out of contract next summer, and Rangers may be reluctant to pay a substantial fee for a player they could acquire for free in 12 months' time.

Side Note, Belgium missed out on an opportunity to cap-tie the 29-year-old marksman who's still eligible to represent the Red Devils internationally. Despite being capped six times by the Super Eagles, he can still switch nationalities as the games in which he featured for Nigeria were friendlies.
