The award nominations for November were announced on Monday, with the Nigeria international making another appearance on the shortlist.

Having already claimed the prestigious title for all of the first three months of the season, Boniface will look to claim a fourth award following his explosive start to life in the Bundesliga.

Despite failing to find the net in November, the 22-year-old showcased his playmaking prowess with two crucial assists during Bayer Leverkusen's [3-2] victory over TSG Hoffenheim on November 4.

The Super Eagles forward faces stiff competition from RB Leipzig's rising star, Xavi Simons, who, like Boniface, has been a recurrent nominee for the award.

Simons, 20, leads the Bundesliga assists chart with seven goal-making contributions this season.

Notably, his two-goal performance in the month under review secured his place in the nomination list and made him the favourite to beat Boniface to the honour.

Completing the trio of contenders is Freiburg's midfielder, Merlin Röhl. Röhl exhibited his impact with two goal involvements across the two games he played in November, earning him a spot in the esteemed lineup of nominees.

Although Boniface experienced a goal drought in November, he has kickstarted December positively, finding the back of the net in Bayer Leverkusen's 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund over the weekend.

With eight goals and five assists in 13 Bundesliga appearances this season, Boniface maintains an impressive average of one goal involvement per game.
