Through a statement on the club's official website, Victor Osimhen has finally found a new home, joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli. The Turkish giants announced the signing on their official website, bringing an end to the speculation surrounding the Nigerian striker's future.

The 25-year-old's journey to Galatasaray was far from straightforward. Despite Napoli's willingness to part ways with the 25-year-old, finding a suitable suitor proved challenging. A potential deal with Paris Saint-Germain fell apart in July, while deadline day approaches from Al Ahli and Chelsea ultimately failed to materialize.

The Turkish giant's successful bid sees Osimhen join the Yellow-Reds on a free temporary transfer, with the striker set to receive a net wage of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season. The move provides a fresh start for Osimhen, who will be eager to make an impact in Turkey.

The announcement concludes a tumultuous transfer window for Osimhen, who saw multiple deals collapse. Al Ahli's agreement with the striker was scuppered by Napoli's demands for additional funds, while Chelsea's proposals failed to match Osimhen's current wages.

With the transfer saga now resolved, Osimhen is set to join his Nigerian teammates in Uyo for the upcoming match against Republic of Benin on Saturday, September 7. The striker's focus will now shift to the pitch, where he will aim to make a lasting impression for both club and country.
