- Tijani Muhamed is on the verge of completing his highly anticipated move from Baník Ostrava to Slavia Prague.
The transfer is expected to be finalized in the coming days following a comprehensive medical examination conducted at the club's Eden Stadium. Both clubs are now working on finalizing the remaining transfer details.
With Muhamed's contract expiring in December 2024, Baník Ostrava have decided to cash in on the young forward's potential. On the other hand, Slavia Prague see the 22-year-old forward as the perfect candidate to fill the void left by his compatriot Peter Olayinka, who bid farewell to the club after an impressive five-year stay.
Olayinka, having scored 43 goals and provided 23 assists in 170 games while becoming Slavia Prague's leading scorer in European competitions, joined Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade on a free transfer.
Muhamed joined Baník Ostrava's youth system from Nigerian side 36 Lion FC in September 2018. After displaying his impressive skills, he earned a professional contract with Baník Ostrava in August 2019. Muhamed had loan spells at Třinec and Karviná before becoming a regular at Baník Ostrava this season.
Throughout the campaign, Muhamed impressed with eight goals and two assists in 27 league appearances.
