Super Falcons Star Quits Russian Club Lokomotiv Moscow

- Super Falcons forward Chinonyerem Macleans has ended her two-year stint with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow.
- The 24-year-old expressed gratitude for her time at the club, highlighting personal and professional growth during her stay.
Super Falcons forward Chinonyerem MacLeans has bid farewell to Russian Women’s Championship side, League side Lokomotiv Moscow, after a two-year stint at the Club.
The 24-year-old who was part of the Super Falcons squad for the 2024 Summer Olympic games in Paris, made her intentions known via social media expressing gratitude to the club for an eventful spell at the Russian Outfit.
The 2021 Russian Champions recruited the then 21-year-old from Belarusian Women’s top flight side FK Bobruysk following an impressive streak of scoring form which saw her rack up six goals in eight league games for the club at the time.

During her time in Russia, the Bayelsa Queens Alumni made thirty-three appearances and netted fourteen goals. She represented Nigeria at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations where the record African queens finished fourth, losing the bronze medal match to Zambia.
