EFL Championship Middlesbrough FC has announced the loan signing of Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho from La Liga side Sevilla until the end of the season via their official website

The 28-year-old striker's arrival at the Riverside Stadium is a significant boost to the club's promotion ambitions.

Iheanacho's impressive career statistics make him an exciting addition to Middlesbrough's squad. 

With over 300 career appearances under his belt, the Nigerian forward has scored an impressive 85 goals and provided numerous assists. 

On the international stage, Iheanacho has netted 15 goals in 57 games for Nigeria.

The former Manchester City and Leicester City marksman has a proven track record of success, having won the League Cup with Manchester City as an 18-year-old and more recently, helping Leicester City secure promotion. 

Iheanacho's experience and skill will undoubtedly be an asset to Middlesbrough as they push for promotion.

Iheanacho's move to Middlesbrough marks a return to English football for the Nigerian striker, who had a brief spell in Spain with Sevilla. 

During his time in Spain, Iheanacho scored three goals in 11 appearances.
