  • Victor Boniface's move to Al Nassr has collapsed, with the Saudi club instead signing Jhon Duran.
  • Boniface will refocus on his career with Bayer Leverkusen, where he has established himself as one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga.

According to Italian journalist and transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Victor Boniface's anticipated transfer to Al Nassr has fallen through, with the Saudi Arabian giants instead opting to sign Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran in a blockbuster €77m deal.

Al Nassr had reportedly been in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen for Boniface, with the Super Eagles striker even excused from training earlier this week as discussions intensified.

However, the Saudi club ultimately decided to pursue Duran instead, leaving Boniface's move to the Middle East dead in the water.

The 24-year-old Boniface had been linked with a move to Al Nassr for several weeks, with the Saudi club reportedly willing to pay a significant transfer fee to secure his services.

However, with the deal now off the table, Boniface will refocus on his career with Bayer Leverkusen, where he has established himself as one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga.

Boniface's future at Leverkusen had been uncertain in recent weeks, with the Nigerian striker reportedly considering a move to the Middle East at the time.

However, with the deal now collapsed, he will rejoin his teammates and focus on helping the club defend their Bundesliga title and pursue European glory.
