Official: 2015 U17 World Cup winner, Bamgboye joins Hatayspor

- Turkish club Hatayspor have confirmed the signing of Funsho Bamgboye, a winger who won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup with Nigeria.
Bamgboye, a former ASPIRE Academy player, joined Hatayspor on a free transfer after leaving Rapid Bucharest. He had been with the Romanian club since January 2023.
The signing was confirmed in a ceremony attended by Sports Director Fatih Kavlak. Bamgboye has agreed to a two-year contract with an option for the 2026-2027 season.
After passing a medical at Acıbadem Fulya Hospital, Bamgboye completed his move to Hatayspor.
In his career, Bamgboye has scored 41 goals in 146 matches for Hungarian clubs Haladás and Fehérvár. He also played in ten qualifying matches in the Europa League and Europa Conference League.
While at Rapid Bucharest, he scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 54 appearances.
Internationally, Bamgboye scored in Nigeria's 2-0 win over Mali in the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup final, playing alongside Victor Osimhen, Samuel
Chukwueze, and Kelechi Nwakali. He was also part of the Flying Eagles team that failed to qualify for the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup.
The 25-year-old attacker will team up with Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru at Hatayspor.
