- Leicester City and Marseille are interested in signing Chuba Akpom from Ajax Amsterdam.
- Ajax are willing to listen to offers for the Nigerian striker, who has struggled to establish himself at the club.
Chuba Akpom's time at Ajax Amsterdam appears to be drawing to a close, with the Dutch giants willing to listen to offers for the Nigerian striker.
Akpom, who joined Ajax from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2023, has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Leicester City and Olympique Marseille are two clubs showing concrete interest in signing Akpom.
Ajax are keen to remove the 27-year-old from their wage bill, and a departure this winter is looking increasingly likely.
Akpom's move to Ajax was seen as a major coup for the club, but the striker has failed to live up to expectations.
He has scored just 23 goals in 67 appearances for the club, and has found himself relegated to the bench in recent weeks.
Leicester City and Marseille are both reportedly keen to offer Akpom a fresh start, and a return to England or a move to France could be on the cards.
Sunderland were also interested in signing Akpom on loan, but the striker poured old water on interests from the club.
