Cyriel Dessers in, Victor Osimhen out as NFF release 30 man list for May/June friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have released a 30 man list for the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.

Nigeria will play two series games against the El Tri of Mexico and Ecuador in the United States Of America on the 29th of May and 3rd of June 2022 respectively. 

Cyriel Dessers who has been on form for Feyenoord Rotterdam makes a return to the squad for the first time since 2019.

However, there are notable omissions from the list. Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi of Union Berlin and Al Hilal's Odion Ighalo are not invited.

The list comprises of nine new invitees with most of them coming from the Nigerian Professional Football League.

The Super Eagles are yet to have a coach after the NFF disengaged the Austin Eguavoen led crew in March 2022. 

They will be led by 1st Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf, for the two friendlies.
