Nwakaeme had not yet been born when the Black Sea Storm won the Super Lig championship the last time.

Anthony Nwakaeme has become a key figure in Trabzonspor's history, having helped them win the Turkish Super Lig for the first time in 38 years.

In recent years, Istanbul's giants have eclipsed the Black Sea Storm. For a long time, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Basaksehir, and Galatasaray have ruled the Super Lig.

Trabzonspor, on the other hand, has broken through and won their first title with four games remaining.

This season, Nwakaeme has been nothing short of outstanding. This season, the Nigerian attacker has been the Black Sea Storm's bright spot, with 10 goals and eleven assists.

Nwakaeme has been a symbol of optimism for Trabzon supporters since his arrival four years ago. His prominence at the club is further cemented by his statue in Trabzon.

This season, however, will be the most important for the former Hapoel Beer Sheva player, as Trabzonspor won their first title since 1984 thanks to a draw against Antalyaspor at home.

The Nigerian international has declined to extend his contract, which expires at the conclusion of the season. Nonetheless, winning the title may inspire him to follow a different path.
