NIGERIAN TEAM OF THE WEEK (October 18th - 21st 2019)

Daniel Akpeyi - The 33 year old was the hero for Kaizer Chiefs with a good performance and a penalty shootout save in their South Africa League Cup win vs Cape Town City FC.

Bryan Idowu - The left back played 90 mins for Lokomotiv Moscow. He made 3 tackles and 1 interception while completing (35) 79.5% of his passes and winning 75% (6 of 8) of his duels as they kept a clean sheet in their win vs Akhmat Grozny.

Willama Troost-Ekoong - 5 clearances, 4 blocks and 1 interception. Ekong was solid for Udinese as they ran out 1-0 winners over Torino in the Itaalian Serie A.

Semi Ajayi - Semi Ajayi returns to our TOTW after one absence. He was solid for West Brom en-route to a clean sheet and a 0-1 win vs Middlesbrough in the EFL Champisonship.

Godswill Ekpolo - Man of the match performance for the right back, who also contributed an assist in BK Hacken's 0-2 win in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Wilfred Ndidi - The 23-year old is proving to be the best DM in the Premier League (in the absence of Ngolo Kante) with yet another solid and impressive performance.5 interceptions, 3 succesful tackles, 2 clearances while completing 75.6% of his passes for Leicester in their 2-1 win vs Burnley.

Oghenekaro Etebo - Etebo was solid in the holding midfield position for Stoke City. He made 3 tackles, 3 clearances and 1 interception to break up play while also winning 75% (6 of 8) if his duels and completing 93.8% of his passes.

Ebere Eze (C) - Star of the Week. The 21-year old 'magician' put in an absolutely incredible performance. He won two penalties, which he then converted himself for Queens Park Rangers in their 2-3 EFL Champiosnhip win over Hull City.

Samuel Nnamani - Samuel Nnamani scored a 68th minute goal, which proved to be the winner for AFC Eskilstuna in their narrow 1-0 Sweden Allsvenskan win vs GIF Sundsvall. Watch the goal.

Toluwalase Arokodare - The 18-year old striker got his 4th and 5th Latvian Virsliga goals of the season for Valmeira in their hard-fought 2-3 win vs FK Liepaja. Watch the goal.

Ibrahim Shuaibu - Scored one goal & assisted another in 75 mins for Kongsvinger IL as they were 2-1 winners vs HamKam in the Norwegian 1st Division.
